Trans Cop Plot Line

Imagine there's somebody in the underground crime world that gets kicked
out because they're trans.

Back story
==========

This person is a big shot.  Like a real superstar, maybe the next boss
or whatever.

This person runs an amazing organization, way better than the boss they
inherited it from.  Modernized it after going away to college, then
comes back, works for his distant cousin, who works for his dad.

insists everyone in the organization uses a bunch of verbal code, and a
lot of cool organizational stuff.

Among other code stuff, they / them pronouns.  "Reveals less to
eavesdroppers."

And they kept being trans a secret.  But on a trip far away, they get
discovered while dressing their true gender by some henchmen of one of
his rivals.

(I'm feeling nervous about expressing this idea to anyone IRL but I
think I should at least write out the plot.)

So, then they get disgraced and kicked out.  Maybe they move to an area
where trans people are more tolerated.

They finally start living for themselves.  They start using she.

## "I'm she now."

Bittersweet.

Now they start learning how the world prays on trans people.  They
discover how these trans folks have no living elders to pass down
hard-learned lessons.

It starts with them finding a place to live.  First they want an
apartment.  Maybe she looks at a condo unit and she gets told the unit
is off the market, but then hears somebody else bought it.

She buys a foreclosed apartment building, renovates it, (with the help
of her loyal sidekick maybe).

It fills up with people that can't get rent anywhere else, and they're
very grateful.

trans people, queers generally, undocumented immigrants, and she lets a
few elderly folks from elsewhere.

somehow she negotiates a peace deal with the local street gangs, and
cuts them in on part of the rents.

Starts a neighborhood improvement organization and asks the local
investor-owned warehouses.

long story short -- soon, she is applying her mob skills and the local
warehouses are paying serious fees for security, staffed by local gangs.

An amount of inventory disappears intermittently, but it is predictable.
In other words, her gangs require the warehouses to pay a tax.

And when one doesn't pay, very quickly, they get shut down quickly.

So, then she got into high-risk lending, aka, loan sharking.

Then she gets revenge on her old rival, the one that brought her down.

And she expects to be left alone.  She makes a big untraceable cash
donation to the XYZ family's representative, and says it is to buy peace
again.  She didn't want a gang war.


But it doesn't work.  Somebody in the XYZ family is angry and considers
the hit an insult to their authority.

They start looking for clues.  Maybe they figure out how she got in, and
then who sold her the lock cracking gear (again, she was masked and
untraceable, but she went to an elite vendor for top-shelf equipment,
and once they figured out what she used, they found the vendor).

One of the rules of her org was to use commodity cheap equipment when
possible, but there's no easy way she could get past their security
without going with the top-shelf equipment, so she broke a rule.

She finds out the XYZ family tortured her old lock pick vendor to death
looking for information.

So she send a message back to the XYZ family, and says she expects them
to take care of the vendor's family with the previous gift.  After all,
they accepted the money, but that money was given to buy peace.

She says "the code" dictates how this situation is resolved.  They
accepted the money, so that means they have accepted.  They could have
asked for a bigger amount.

Then later the XYZ family detects tiny chemical traces at the scene.
And it turns out to be a synthetic hormone.

So they go

And it's a "wipe out the whole family" kind of retribution, too.

So now the cops are involved to protect some of the remaining younger
members.  At first the local news suggests a serial killer of trans
people is involved.

The truth is that she is hunting down members of the XYZ family, all of
them.  She killed some high school boys in the family, and their
innocent friends as well.

Some of the xyz family leaves town.  But there's now a war.

And so that's when the cops get involved.  But they don't know anything,
and nobody in the transylvania will talk. That's the nickname for the

Part Two
========

So now there's mobsters kidnapping and torturing trans people for
information and nobody cares about that.

The cops are under pressure from the mob (because they're so powerful,
the cops work for them kinda)

Side scene: somebody in saying there's no difference in paying landlords
not to evict you and paying a mugger not to beat you up or shoot you.
