Sasha: Chapter Three

Big idea

Sasha's plot line

Sasha becomes really bitter, and M helps rescues her. M gives back her
reason to live. Maybe Sasha isn't just bitter.  Maybe also, the group of
radicals that she has gotten involved in have some creepy cult-like
attributes, and Maggie has to break her out of it.

Sasha becomes a celebrity on accident by being so private. 

And some wanna-be activist types call Sasha's new persona a fraud,
because in their view, she is selling indulgences to the super-rich.

Then some villains come looking.

Best would be to only hint about what S did.  Let the reader construe
it.

Is years later.  Sasha has a new identity.  She  runs some crazy
overpriced ashram retreat for rich old people.  She lives under an
alias.

Anyhow, in this one, Sasha gets famous.  She becomes a token that all
these vapid super-wealthy socialites like to associate themselves with.

Then Sasha finds out people are calling her a fraud.

Meanwhile, maybe Sasha is doing some really secret stuff under the
table.

She's like batman in some sense.  She plays this vapid yoga and fashion
consultant but at the same time, she's working on some hardcore
ecoterrorism stuff behind the scenes.

And now she has to keep this stupid kid out of trouble, while she aims
to shut down some mining operation that would befoul some sacred
monument.

And she has to deal with this yapping kid, calling her a fraud, but she
has to keep her mouth shut about where she's from, and what she's up to.

Stuff gets interesting some assassins show up to check if Sasha is "that
Sasha" that did whatever stuff happens in chapter 3, where Maggie ends
up dead.

And the yapping kid (boy? Girl? Not sure yet) meanwhile thinks it would
be cool to tell the hit men that she isn't afraid of them, or that maybe
she knows where Sasha is, and she's gonna take them out.

And then of course, the yapping kid gets in trouble with these hit men,
tries to call timeout, or some shit like that.

Then Sasha has to rescue her.  Can she?  I don't want her to be some
kind of martial arts badass / superhero.  That's a cliche.

By rescuing the kid, she'll have to give up something she was not ready
to give up.

She'll have to blow her cover and turn herself into the FBI.

The kid will get rescued, but Sasha goes to prison.

Maggie gets killed during the rescue.

Bill's arc

He is not certain, but pretty confident, that Edward Mosby did not kill
himself.  He understands now Edward was trying to hide a bunch of
regions in south america from mining interests, so that nobody would
look for copper there.

Bill decided not to undo Ed's sabotage.  He claims that it can't be
undone.  He makes the system that hides the data stronger.  He knows
however that at some point, his deception will be discovered.

Bill goes to Haiti.  He lives in a village and teaches math in a
village.

Bill works at night to unravel more of what Edward was working on.
Edward was a grouch, but he was HIS grouch, and he didn't deserve to be
murdered.

Sasha is broke        

After pouring her heart and soul and body into the fight, and failing
and failing and failing, Sasha is depleted.

Maggie finds Sasha

Sasha is nearly catatonic when Maggie finds her.

M finds S by searching a lot of ways.  When S asks later, M says she
found her because a palm reader told her where to look.  I want it to be
possible that the palm reader was plugged into the same network as S,
and also, that the palm reader really did get some supernatural tip.

Maggie drives this time

Maggie sees Sasha passed out leaning against the door.

"You hurt me, that time, when I tracked you down last year, and you
acted like we were nothing.  Remember that?  You were so eager to fit in
with that crowd I guess."

"And they just used you."

Maggie and Sasha run a fancy retreat

Husband and wife have a meltdown during.  Comic relief.

Sasha on TV

This scene introduces Sasha's new persona and establishes that a long
time has gone by since M rescued her.

In the alley after the interview

This is where yappy kid shoes up, calling Sasha a fraud.

The kid mouths off to the hitmen

Plan Z

Maggie and Sasha get the kid out by turning themselves in.  They shoot
Maggie.  Then the hit men start torturing Sasha.

The kid realizes Sasha was the baykuk.  The FBI take Sasha away.

Maggie sits up.
