+++++++++++ Note to DMs +++++++++++ Thanks for giving this a try! My email is matt@tplus1.com. I'd love to make this into the best adventure it can be, and I know it ain't there yet, so please, send me emails with your feedback! Spoiler-free text ================= Text might contain information that the party shouldn't know yet, so please read it through first. But any text that can be shared verbatim will be marked up like this: There are large caves in the sides of the cliff. At the bottom of the cliff, there are rocks, bone fragments, rusted armor and weapons and equipment. There are weird tracks going up and down all over the cliff. The tracks don't look like anything made by people or any kind of pack animals. So you can read that verbatim or paraphrase. Times of day ============ I don't like talking about times using modern measurements like hours. So instead, I'm breaking the 24-hour day into six equal parts of four hours, like this: =============== =========== ======== Label Starts Ends =============== =========== ======== Dawn 4 AM 8 AM Morning 8 AM 12 PM (noon) Afternoon 12 PM 4 PM Dusk 4 PM 8 PM First watch 8 PM 12 AM (midnight) Second watch 12 AM 4 AM =============== =========== ======== The label **Dawn** covers a four-hour interval of time, and the midpoint is the actual moment of dawn. Incidentally, I got the idea for this from the fantastic computer game `Battle For Wesnoth`_. .. _`Battle For Wesnoth`: http://wesnoth.org .. vim: set filetype=rst :
