For game purposes, if weather is good and terrain is nice, if a person walks for eight hours, they can travel 25 miles. Riding ====== On good-enough terrain, horses can trot at 8 MPH and gallop twice that fast. Galloping is just for very short distances. Assuming good weather and good terrain, riding for eight hours allows 64 miles of travel. Squares and turns ================= Squares measure distance and turns measure time. time. Each turn is a four-hour block of time. Walking covers one square and riding covers three squares each turn.
